How People Create Bad Karma
Dear Ones,
Dear Ones,
Why should a person not read negative books or see negative
images in magazines or movies? Because the negativity pollutes the soul, heart,
mind, and body. As with the land, water, and air, once the soul, heart, mind,
and body are polluted, it takes time to remove the pollution. For example, a
pregnant woman should not watch negative, dark, or sexual movies, because that
negativity and unpleasantness will pollute the unborn child, who is constantly
receiving messages and learning in the womb. This pollution could affect the
child for years, decades, even lifetimes.
In the spiritual journey, everybody understands the old
saying, “See no evil. Hear no evil. Speak no evil.” I add, “Think no evil.” To
advance on your spiritual journey, you have to pay attention to these four “no
evils.” This is the key to purifying your soul, heart, mind, and body. You must
not allow negativity and impurity to affect your soul, heart, mind, and body.
If you are a true spiritual being, you will understand the
teaching more deeply. There is an ancient statement:
Zhong sheng wei guo, pu sa wei yin
Life-threatening sicknesses, financial challenges,
relationship losses, and more are results
in one’s life. “Zhong sheng wei guo” means when normal human beings have an unpleasant result, they are afraid,
worried, and concerned.
“Pu sa” (pronounced poo
sah) means bodhisattva. “Wei”
(pronounced way) means afraid. “Yin” (pronounced yeen) means cause. Bodhisattvas are enlightened masters. They understand karma.
They pay great attention to “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil, think no
evil,” because they understand that when they create bad karma, unpleasant
results will follow.
Zhong sheng wei guo,
pu sa wei yin teaches that if you are not a highly enlightened spiritual
being, you do not understand the power of bad karma. When you have disasters in
life, you become afraid. A highly enlightened spiritual master is more afraid
of the cause than of the result. A highly developed spiritual being does not
want to create bad karma (the cause), because the bad karma will bring bad
results (lessons, even disasters). Karma is cause and effect.
I have taught my students worldwide that it is easy to create
new bad karma. What you say could hurt others. You could behave badly toward
others. You could have an angry, critical, or complaining attitude toward
others. You may think about taking advantage of others. You could have worse
thoughts about really harming others. In daily life, it is very difficult to
avoid creating some negative, improper, hurtful, or harmful actions, behavior,
speech, and thoughts and to avoid seeing and hearing polluted things.
To minimize the new bad karma that you create, the important
wisdom is:
When you do, say,
hear, or think something improper, apologize instantly as follows:
Dear Divine,
Dear Tao,
Dear Heaven and Mother
Earth,
Dear all of my
spiritual fathers and mothers,
I am sorry to have
said this.
I am sorry to have
behaved like this.
I am sorry to have
thought this.
I am sorry that I have
forgotten love, peace, and harmony.
Please forgive me.
Then chant:
Divine forgiveness
Divine forgiveness
Divine forgiveness
Divine forgiveness
Divine forgiveness
Divine forgiveness
Divine forgiveness . .
.
If you transform your improper speech, behavior, and
thoughts instantly in this way, you will not create new bad karma. Zhong sheng wei guo, pu sa wei yin is to
teach us to be highly disciplined in our daily life, especially in actions,
behaviors, speech, thoughts, hearing, and more.
With love and blessing,
